Ram Charan and Priyanka Chopra-starrer Zanjeer has been postponed. The bilingual (Hindi and Telugu) action entertainer, which was originally scheduled for release on April 12, will now hit the screens on May 10 as a summer special. While we’re not quite sure as to what prompted the filmmakers to push back the release date, it’s been buzzed as ‘production snags’ as the reason for the delay.
The role of Sher Khan, originally played by veteran actor Pran, will be essayed by Sanjay Dutt in the remake while Sonu Sood will be seen essaying the iconic for the Telugu version. Zanjeer remake is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Adai Mehra Productions and Flying Turtles.
