After the Amaravati foundation laying ceremony, where the Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not even mention anything about the ‘special status’ to Andhra Pradesh, The main YSRCP of AP , which has been agitating for ‘Special status’ ,has fallen in utter confusion as it already used its best mode of agitation in form of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s indefinite Hunger Strike.
YSRCP is now looking for other options to intensify its agitation on ‘special status’ . It is exploring for a strong weapon that would definitely results in achieving ‘special status’. In democracy , ‘Resignation’ is one such powerful weapon which has been implemented by various politicians to achieve their goals. In Telangana , KCR and his party men have used it twice to achieve their goals. Following the same strategy, YSRCP is planning for Mass resignations to bring pressure on the ruling TDP at the state level and BJP at center.
It would be interesting to see whether YSRCP MPs would appauld this proposal as it is going to be a tough & risky decision for them to win back the confidence of people as Jagan has utterly failed to be a strong opposition leader in the state.
