Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today complained Andha Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer against Ongole Assembly Constituency YSR Congress Party contesting candidate Balineni Srinivasa Reddy for adopted corrupt prcactices by distributing sarees and gold ornaments like ear rings to the women electorate. In a representaion submitted to CEO, a copy was which released to the media here, the TDP said ‘We have received reliable information from the constituency that the leaders and functionaries of YSR Congress Party were stored thousands of sarees and gold ornaments in Ongole twon for distribution’. The TDP said said the action is nothing but ‘bribe’ and liable for action under section 171-B, 171-E of IPC and Section 123 (I) of RP Act, 1951. The TDP requested the CEO to direct the concerned to take immediate action on the distribution of sarees and gold ornaments and initiate appropriate action against him. In another complaint, the TDP alleged that Tirupati YSRC Party candidate Karunakar Reddy and his functionaries had affixed their party stickers and painted their party slogans on thousands of electricity and telephone polls and trees on the road margins in the limits of Tirupati Assembly Constituency.
They also illegally had erected their party flags, hoardings and banners on the said polls and public propeties.
The TDP requested the CEO to take steps to remove the defacements on the public properties in the Tirupati constituency with the cost of YSRC Party candidate.
