AP Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishna, Union Minister Sujanna Chowdhary, State Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, MP Rammohan Naidu have discussed with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on the issue of benefits from the central government to Andhra Pradesh.
Yanamala said that They have discussed all kinds of assistance from the Center that were to be addressed to help Andhra Pradesh after the division of the state.
Talking to reporters after the meeting, Telugu Desam leader spoke on special status, industrial promotions and other issues. He said, In the present situation, the special status must be given to the state to move forward. He wanted the centre to help the AP along with other states. They have also discussed the political developments in the state for last few days. He wanted Jaitely to understand people’s sentiments. The TDP told that injustice was done to the state in the budget. Jaitley was asked to implement the rights of the state. TDP MPs will continue to protest in Parliament, he said.
Jaitley, who was out of the meeting, said they would discuss the matter in Parliament. BJP leader Kumbhampatti Hari Babu said he wanted the centre to give equal benefits to the state as that of special status.
