Water War ends between AP and Telangana at Apex meeting

uma-bharathi-chandrababu-naidu-kcrThe Apex Committee Council Meet over water war issue between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana , held in Delhi in presence of Union Water resource Minister Uma Bharathi.

Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, N.Chandrababu Naidu and K.Chandrashekar Rao respectively , have began discussion along with their official in presence of union water resource minister .Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao and Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Devineni Uma have also participated in the council meet.

Projects taken up by both the states on Krishna and Godavari rivers were discussed in the council meeting.

Speaking to media after the meeting Uma Bharti said, She met both the CMs and three issues were agreed upon by them in the discussion.

  • Telemetry system to be installed to find the inflow and outflow of project on various projects .
  • Joint team to be made which will give its report on water sharing between states, which will consists of officials from AP , Telangana and union water resources ministry
  • Will request Brijesh kumar Tribunal to take a decision soon and allot the water resources.

A total of 5 issues were discussed of which three issue got consensus of both the states.
