In a match-deciding Semi finals, Virat Kohli who loves to chase has delivered it again. The 28-year-old batsman broke South African ODI captain AB de Villiers’ record of being the fastest to 8,000 ODI runs, who got to the mark in 182 innings (190 matches).
Before the match, Kohli had 7,912 ODI runs in 174 innings (182 matches), Kohli has to score 88 runs in the match. Kohli has been in stunning form in ODIs ever since his debut in August 2008, has made 96* runs against the Bangladesh to reach the land mark. While Rohit Sharma (123*) scored his 11th ODI ton as India chased down the 265-run target with overs to spare. Both Rohit and Koli made 178–run stand in 153 deliveries.
