Vijayawada TDP leader to join YSR Congress party

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP)’s Krishna District Leader Devineni Chandrasekhar today announced that he would join the YSR Congress Party on May 24, in the presence of its Supremo Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Mr Chandrasekhar is the younger brother of Krishna District TDP President and MLA Devineni Umamaheshwara Rao, who is very close to TDP President and Former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Mr Chandrasekhar said he was disillusioned with the treatment being meted out to him by TDP and has decided to join YSR Congress as its policies ‘attracted’ him. Meanwhile, addressing a press conference here Deveneni Umamaheshwara Rao alleged that unable to face him politically, the YSR Congress Party had hatched a plot to split his family. The senior TDP leader vowed to continue his fight against enormous alleged corruption of YS Jaganmohan Reddy. “I am ready to snap my family relations for the sake of the party and will never compromise strengthening and protecting the party,” he said. It may be recalled two weeks ago, another TDP leader V Vamsi was served show cause notice for hogging Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the full glare of the public and the media.
