Tollywood’s leading production house, Vyjayanthi Movies, is in shock after rumours that actresses Trisha and Amala Paul have walked out of their big ticket entertainer Sir Osthara. The production house has clarified that they were never in the project in the first place, so there’s no question of walking out. They have had the popular Kaajal Agarwal on board for weeks to pair up with Ravi Teja.
“We don’t know how these rumours started. We neither approached Trisha nor Amala Paul, although we did discuss a few names. We narrated the story to Kaajal. She was impressed and set aside bulk dates from June 15 for the film. After that we had no reason to look for anyone else,” said a source who is part of the film crew.
“Another report that Trisha opted out on payment issue is rubbish since this banner is known to be a big pay master and superstars like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna and NTR would vouch for it,” the source added.
However, producer Priyanka Dutt has downplayed the fiasco saying she is focused on dishing out a blockbuster. “Frankly, we didn’t follow these reports since they were baseless. We are busy with pre-production work for the film, which will be directed by Parasuram. It’s an author-backed role for Kaajal and she fits the bill,” said Priyanka, who is hoping to revive the fortunes of the production house after a dud like Shakti.
