Vijay Sai Reddy’s bail orders reserved for April 12
The CBI Special Court today reserved the bail orders of Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy, the second accused in the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s disproportionate assets case, for April 12. Judge B Nagamaruthi Sarma heard the arguments from both sides before reserving his judgment for April 12.
Vijay Sai Reddy, the auditor , who is an accused in the Jaganmohan Reddy illegal assets case, is currently lodged in Chanchalguda jail here.
Earlier, Vijay Sai Reddy’s counsel argued that Section 409 (criminal breach of trust) does not apply to his client as he was not a public servant and he could not be kept in judicial custody for more than 60 days. The counsel also assured the court that his client would in no way interfere with the investigations as being alleged by the CBI or influence the witnesses if released on bail.
However, the CBI opposed the bail stating that the investigations into the case were at a crucial phase.
