Veteran Indian actor Om Puri died on Friday morning of a heart attack at his residence, He was 66.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi mourned the demise of veteran Indian actor Om Puri.
He made his film debut in the 1976 Marathi film Ghashiram Kotwal. He gave prolific performances in critically acclaimed non-commercial films Bhavni Bhavai (1980), Sadgati (1981), Ardh Satya (1982), Mirch Masala (1986) and Dharavi (1992). The last film he was associated was The Jungle Book with his deep, masculine and baritone voice for Bagheera character.
He also acted in English films like ‘East is East’ and ‘City of Joy’. He upcoming projects include Viceroy’s House (English), Santheyalli Nintha Kabira ( Kannada), Tiger (Kannada), Actor In Law (Pakistani)
