Vangaveeti Radha Krishna to join YSR Congress party

Former MLA and General Secretary of erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) Vangaveeti Radha Krishna will join the YSR Congress party on April 27 in the presence of YSR Congress President Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Announcing this at press conference here today, he said yielding to pressure from Radha-Ranga Mitra Mandali and a large number of his followers, he had decided to join YSR Congress formally April 27 at a public meeting here, in the presence of Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and a large number of his followers, he informed. He alleged that the Congress party had forgotten the sacrifices, made by his family for the Congress. He recalled that the Congress party had come to power in the state in 1990, after the brutal murder of his father, the then Congress MLA V M Ranga Rao. He said Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had assured him to give due importance in the party. When asked if he would contest from the same constituency, where he lost, he said Mr Jagan would decide that.

Mr Radha Krishna, who was elected MLA on Congress party ticket, quit the party and joined the PRP, floated by film star- turned politician Chiranjeevi. He contested from Vijayawada Central constituency but lost. His mother V Ratna Kumari was also a two-time MLA.
