Uber Hack : Company pays $100k to Hackers

uberUber suffered a massive data breach exposing the personal data of 57 million customers and drivers last year.

Over 57 million customers and 600,000 drivers had their data compromised in Uber hack. But they paid the hackers $100,000 to delete the data and keep the breach quiet.

Two people outside the company accessed the personal information of 57 million Uber users including names, email addresses and phone number.

Uber said a hack last year affecting 57 million accounts was concealed, and the firm fired its top security executive.
