TTD to construct temple at Kurukshetra

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board in its meetingtoday decided to construct Lord Venkateswara Temple at Kurukshetra with an estimated cost of Rs 30 crore. Addressing press persons after the board meeting, TTDs Chairman Kanumuri Bapiraju said the board given approval for the procurement of 3,300 tonnes of ghee at a cost of Rs 84 crore. In a major decision, the board has approved towards the construction of New Kitchenblock at VQC II in Tirumala hills with an estimated cost of Rs 296.90 lakh, the Chairman said, adding it also taken decision to construct an additional PG building in SPW Degree College at Tirupati at an estimated cost of Rs 650 lakh. It has also resolved to construct TTDs chowltry at Penchalakona in Nellore district with an estimated cost of Rs 390 lakh and also decided to construct girls hostel at SVIMS with a cost of Rs 3.85 crore. While referring to the human hair e-Auction, the Chiarman said human hair has yielded never before profits to TTD. While the estimated profits are to the tune of Rs 145 crore and it is expected to cross over Rs 200 crore. The Board has also decided to extend the term of former officer on Special Durty Dollar Seshadri by another two years.
