Actress Trisha Krishnan deactivated her Twitter account after facing attacks from protesters over Jallikattu .
Trisha was associated with the animal rights organisation PETA, Jallikattu supporters protested against her for endorsing PETA .
Trisha tweeted, “I’m a Tamilian and I support @peta @petaindia cruelty to animals no matter how old the traditions are is no justification. #BanJallikattu.”
Trisha said she is deeply hurt at the disrespect and filthy language being used by people and said she has never been against or opposed Jallikattu. She further said that “I am a proud Tamilian by birth and I believe and respect in Tamil culture and tradition and would never go against the sentiments of my own people”.
While Trisha’s mother Uma Krishnan filed a complaint against the hackers of Trisha’s account.
