Trisha becomes celebrity advocate at UNICEF

trisha-unicefKollywood actress Trisha Krishnan joins Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Sachin Tendulkar to become another celebrity advocate at the UNICEF for child rights.

Trisha interacted with children in Chennai today after she was conferred UNICEF celebrity advocate status. She is the 1st Actor in South India to receive this recognition

Trisha Krishnan will lend support to efforts to address issues such as anaemia, child marriage, child labour and child abuse, especially in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Trisha stated that the award has increased her commitment. She said she would work more with the state government in future to educate children about health, education and nutrition.

She condemned attacks on young children, especially teenage girls and Everyone has the responsibility to protect children from such things, “Trisha said.

UNICEF Chief Job Zakaria said: “Trisha is an icon for Children of the adolescent age also stressed the need for educating the children and giving them a good understanding of health issues.
