Top Maoist Ramakrishna alias RK has managed to escape in an encounter that took place in the Bejjangi forest in Odisha’s Malkangiri district near the Andhra-Odisha border .
The encounter took lives of 24 Maoists, including eight women and also a Greyhounds commando .
The joint operation was led by the Andhra Pradesh Police and Greyhounds played a major role in it seized 10 .303 rifles, two SLRs and four AK-47 guns and some Maoist kits
While the top Maoist cadre Ramakrishna alias RK is said to have managed to escape the fighting. But his son was dead, who recently joined the Maoist group.
Activities and Veerasam leader Varavara Rao alleged that police killed the Maoists after attacking their meeting and demanded that a murder case is to be booked against the policemen.
