After the uninspiring Oh My Friend and 3, Shruti Haasan must be banking on the upcoming Gabbar Singh (remake of Dabangg) for a much-needed hit.
Earlier, she had claimed that reprising Sonakshi Sinha’s role from the Hindi original was interesting and that she “enjoyed portraying the village belle”.
But with T-town dream merchants preferring to chase successful actresses instead of talented ones, she needs a hit to book her spot in the top league.
“She has few offers with big stars but she has not signed anything yet,” says a source close the actress.
So, it looks like everything hinges on the success of this cop story to give the actress’ sagging career a new direction.
Her second straight telugu movie, Gabbar Singh is releasing on 11th may and she has all her hopes pinned on it.
