Telangana to become 16th state to join UDAY

TelanganaTelangana to become 16th state which has agreed to join Ujwal Discom Assurance Yojna (UDAY).

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao called on Power Minister Piyush Goyal in Delhi and announced his govt decision.

KCR met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him for to lay foundation stone of NTPC’s Ramagundam Thermal Power Project of 1,600 MW in March.

As promised in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act , Center is committed for capacity of 4,000 MW to Telangana by 2021.

KCR requested coal linkage policy to set up thermal power capacity of 5,880 MW in coming years.
