Telangana to set up CERT to fight Cyber criminals

cyber-crimeTelangana government has decided to set up Computer Emergency Response Team for fighting cyber criminals, Under its upcoming Cyber Security Policy 2016.

Cyber attacks are increasing year on year. The threat to private firms than government organisations is 10 times greater. IT department will provide training to the selected cyber warriors and issue them certificates. They would be protecting databases, websites and systems apart from building powerful firewalls along with monitoring and maintenance.

First of its kind, Telangana govt is introducing Cyber Security Policy 2016, no other state in the country has such system. The cyber security market worth $100 billion and that would double in next 5 years. On september 15, KTR will be unveiling the cyber security policy and the other sub sectorial policies.
