To mount pressure on the UPA Government at the Centre and intensifying the agitation over Telangana issue, Telangana Political Joint Action committee (TPJAC) today announced that it would organise ‘Chalo Assembly’ in in March during the state Budget Session period. Talking to reporters after meeting with the JAC leaders to prepare detailed action plan to intensify ‘T’ movement here, TPJAC Chairman Prof Kodandaram said the ‘Chalo Assembly’ programme will be organising in the third week of March during the state budget sessions which will begin on March 11. Though there was no support for Samaikyaandhra, the Congress was still delaying announcing of their decision on Telanana issue, he alleged and said all the Telangana Congress public representatives should set aside their party and join in Telangana movement. To call to join in ‘T’ movement, pracharam will take up at all the Congress legislator assembly constituencies from February 16-21, he informed. As part of NH road blockade decided in the meeting, the national highway roads of Bangalore and Vijayawada would be blockade 24-hours, JAC leader Srinivas Goud said.
On Feb 24, will block the traffic on the national highway between Hyderabad-Bangalore while on Hyderabad-Vijayawada NH road on March 2, he said. A bus yatra on Bangalore national highway from Shamshabad to Alampur on Feb 11 while from Hyanthnagar to Kodad on Vijayawada road from February 27 to 28, Mr Gouda added.
