Telangana govt sets 3000 hotspots in Hyderabad

hi-fiIn a bid to develop Hyderabad as a global smart city, the Telangana State government, in association with GHMC, Airtel, ACT, launched Wi-Fi hotspots across 17 locations in the city on Tuesday, delivering high-speed Internet to citizens free of cost.

Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan & IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan inaugurated India’s largest City Wi-Fi project with 3000 hotspots in Hyderabad.

Hy-Fi – Hyderabad City Wi-Fi Project will provide free Wi-Fi for 30 minutes, with an assured bandwidth of 5-10 Mbps. It is the India’s biggest public wi-fi network.
