Telangana Government eyes on 127 acre land in Hyderabad

Commercial Taxes, Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the government is exploring the possibility of taking over the Race Club which exists in 127 acre.

Earlier Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao also hinted that the race course would be shifted from Malakpet and the land will be used for public .

Horse racing in Hyderabad was started by the Nizam Asaf Jah VI in 1868 at Moula-Ali.In 1886 the racing was shifted to Malakpet by H.H Nawab Mir Mahboob Ali Khan, Nizam VI. HRC registered a turnover of about Rs 600 crore in last year.

With no allegations, Race club has maintained a good track record all these years. However, unaccounted cash of Rs 51 lakh from six licensed bookies recently.
