Telangana better than India average in Police stations

kcr-policeTelangana Chief minister K.k.Chandrashekar Rao reviewed reorganisation of Police Department with Home Minister Narasimha Reddy, Chief Secretary ,Telangana DGP and other Sr officials.

KCR has said that reorganisation of Police Department should be completed simultaneously with the reorganisation of districts.

All the police stations and Commissionerates shall be ready by Dasara along with Districts, revenue divisions and the mandals. Karimnagar, Nizamabad, Siddipet and Ramagundam Police Commissionerates will be set up in addition to Hyderabad, Cyberabad, Rachakonda and Warangal.

25 sub-divisional PS, 28 circle PS and 86 new police stations will come up in the State after the reorganisation of districts.

India has on an average one PS for 97,000 citizens and Telangana will better the national average with one PS per 50,000 population.

While Rs 2,000 cr will be set aside in the coming budget for constructing offices for new districts, revenue divisions and the mandals.
