Telangana Bandh peaceful

Protesting against the Congress Government’s attitude against the people of Telangana region, TDP and YSR Congress Parties at the all-party meeting on Telangana issue yesterday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party observed bandh in Telangana region including, Hyderabad, today. Almost all bus services in the entire Telangana region came to a stand still and buses ramained restricted to bus depots as the activists of TRS and ‘T’JAC prevented them from coming out of depots and observed dharnas in front it. Educational institutions were closed voluntarily and poor attendence was registered in the state and central government offices.

Protesting against Union Home Ministry for not taking any decision on Telangana even after holding all party-meeting which was attended by eight political parties from Andhra Pradesh, K Chandrasekhar Rao had called the bandh. The Telangana Film Chamber of Commerce, which extended its support to the bandh, stopped morning and matiness shows in all theatres in Telangana region. Very less bus services were operated in the state capital with the police escort while the APSRTC authorities cancelled several services, fearing arson and damage to the buses.
