TDP targets Nation Party status by 2019

TDPTelugu Desam Party is planning to expand its base in other states of the country get national party status by the year 2019.

TDP is planning to contest elections from a few other states other than Telugu states.

According to TDP MP Jayadev Galla , TDP is required to represent at least one more state in the lower house of parliament in order to be eligible for the national status. TDP is eyeing on Karnataka , Tamil Nadu and Odisha where Telugu speaking people are more in numbers.

At Mahanadu -annual convention of the party , the party has taken this issue very seriously and discussed on this. TDP has currently has 16 Lok Sabha members: 15 from Andhra Pradesh and one (Ch. Malla Reddy)representing Malkajgiri from Telangana.
