Swami Kamlanand in police custody for 2 days

A local court here today rejected the bail petition of spiritual leader Swami Kamlanand Bharati arrested in connection with alleged hate speech against Muslims. The Nampally criminal court rejected his bail petition and sent him to police custody for two days. It may be mentioned here that Swami was arrested by the city police at Srisailam in Kurnool district on January 14 in connection with two cases registered against him for his alleged hate speeches against Muslims. He was brought to the city and produced before a magistrate at his residence in Judges’ Quarters at Secunderabad. The judge remanded him to 14-day judicial custody.
