The ruling NDA government has speeded up the process to bring consensus among parties to elect the next president unanimously. The Presidential talks gain momentum, So far, six parties have been contacted-Congress, BSP, NCP, TDP, CPM, and AINC(NR)
BJP committee lead by three union minister Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu on finalizing the Presidential candidate to meet Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi on Friday, followed by a meeting with CPMs Sitaram Yechury.
Venkaiah Naidu today spoke to NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu on the issue of Presidential elections. Chandrababu told Venkaiah Naidu his party would stand by PMO India decision on the Presidential nominee.
