Gangula Bhanumathi, wife of slain Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri who was allegedly shot dead by Bhanu Kiran on January 3, 2011, called on Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and was closetted with him for some time this morning. Bhanumathi’s meeting with the Chief Minister assumed importance with the arrest of Bhanu Kiran, the prime accused in the Suri Murder Case. Talking to waiting mediapersons, she said she had pleaded with Mr Reddy to provide adequate police protection to her. Ms Bhanumathi also alleged the TDP leaders were behind the murder of her husband and said she also requested the Chief Minister to ensure that her husband’s assets are transferred in her name. She alleged Bhanu Kiran had earned money and prime lands in the name of her late husband and added the assassin has blessings and support of many influential persons. She said she had urged the Chief Minister to ensure that Bhanu Kiran got maximum punishment for cheating her husband.
