Supreme court dismiss ACB petition against Revanth’s bail

revanth-reddyThe Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB)’s petition in supreme court seeking cancellation of Revanth Reddy’s bail given by High Court has been dismissed by Supreme court.

Union Minister Kapil Sibal argued on behalf of the Telangana ACB and along with him senior lawyers Dushyanth Dave and Haren Raval . He explained the court that the bail given by the Hyderabad high court is totally flawed and Revanth Reddy violated the bail conditions as soon as he is released by making threatening speeches and he is in position to tamper evidence. He also informed the court that Investigation is still under process.

While the supreme court did not agres to the arguments of Kabil Sibal Its questioned that, Revanth Reddy was in jail fro 30 days what more can he do ? A statement was recorded under section 164 said the court.

It commented, If a bail is given in 1 or 2 days , it would be a good option to knock the apex court but in Revanth case the accused was given bail after 30 days. The SC did not consider the developments that took place after Revanth release.
