State Government In CBI Grip

As the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) tightening the noose around the ministers, the Andhra Pradesh government is virtually under seize. No one knows what is in store for the government and the ministers.

With the filing of charge sheet on senior minister D Prasada Rao, after the arrest of former minister M Venkata Ramana, the government is facing most embarrassing situation. Most of the ministers are fearing about their future with the apprehensions about the moves of the CBI.
The ministers involved in the various land allotment activities during the regime of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy are spending sleepless nights. They are waiting for the bad news from the central investigation agency and are praying the God to spare them.
About six ministers were being implicated in cases linked to the land allotments and one minister has gone to the prison while other is facing the charge sheet. Another charge sheet against the one more minister, the government will come under severe pressure.
If another minister goes to the prison, there is a danger of the fall of the government. Telugu Desam may take up a big agitation in the state demanding the resignation of the government. With this, the ministers are treading cautiously and are looking up for a help from the Congress high command.
Even the high command is also in a turmoil as the land allotment cases are taking new turns regularly. It is trying to keep the state government away from falling and is in a quandary on what to do to save the government. It is of the fear that if the government falls and fresh elections are being held, it will be difficult for the party to return to the government in the state.
As the CBI is charging ahead, Congress high command  is in a confusion on the strategies to be adopted to control the damage and is utterly clue less over the steps to be taken to save the party.
