Srirastu Subhamastu Movie Review – Engaging

srirastu-subhamastuMovie : Srirastu Subhamastu
Director : Parasuram
Producer : Allu Aravind
Music Director : S. Thaman
Starring : Allu Sirish, Lavanya Tripathi Rating 3/5

Sirish(Allu Sirish) is from Uber rich family , his father Chandramohan (Prakash Raj) is a firm believer of Money Mantra. The family gets upset with the mistake of Sirish’s brother – falling love with a middle class girl. Sirish too commits same mistake by falling in love with Anu(Lavanya) during business trip to Kashmir where he rescues her from a trekking accident. Sirish challenges Prakash Raj that he will win Anu’s love without his family name. When things are going in Sirish way, Anu’s father Jagannadham (Rao ramesh) arrange a match for Anu with his friend Tanikella Bharani’s son. How Sirish win Anu convincing his father (Prakash Raj) and Anu’s Father (Rao Ramesh) forms the rest of the story.

Comparing with his previous films, There is lot of change seen in Sirish’s performance. His comedy timing has improved , his emotions , his dance have improved. However he tried to imitate his brother Allu Arjun – its obvious (blood relation) . Lavanya was wonderful as college going girl, her performance as loving daughter was good to watch. Her role was some like genelia in Bommarillu. Rao Ramesh has given a subtle kind of performance . Prakash Raj could not get a meaty role to deliver his kind-of performance. The comedy scenes between Alia & Subbaraju & also with sirish were hilarious. Tanikella Bharani, ranadheer, Sumalatha and Pragathi were good in their roles.
Director Parshuram has succeeded in executing the film film . Although the film would have residues of his previous film “Solo”, he impressed with the narration of the film which makes audience to connect with the film. Thaman’s music is an asset for the film, songs in the film are already chartbusters. Editing was good without dragging the scenes.Cinematography of the film was good and few locales in Kashmir were wonderfully captured. Dialogues of Rao Ramesh were well written, few double meaning dialogues are commendable. Without big sets or erostic locations , the film was shot in a very simple manner without compromising.

Srirastu Shubhamastu is basically a routine plot of a rich kid trying to prove his father that Love is bigger than Richness and Love can happen any time with anyone. We have seen dozens of films with these stories, But Srirasthu Subhamasthu is different, It adds human drama with a small conflict . In the first half, The movie attracts youth audience without any boring episode at the same time even the family audience with a small twist during interval. The second half run with family emotions in right place . The film gives a feels like watching Bommarillu 2 film , the only difference is that, In Bommarillu, Heroine stays in Hero’s house for 7 days whereas in this film Hero stays for 10 days in Heroine’s house as her best friend. The movie lacks kick that was in Bommarillu. Overall it’s a complete family entertainer.

Srirastu Shubhamastu is a simple family drama
