Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), the management of the world famous Venkateswara Swamy temple, will organise ‘ Srinivasa Kalyanams’ in Singapore in the month of August.
Briefing the various developmental activities taken up by TTD in the last month during the ‘ Dail Your EO’ programme’ here today, TTD Executive officer L V Subramanyam said the Srinivasa Kalyanams which began on April 28 will conclude by June 3 in United States of America.
“The series of Kalyanams have received immense response from the public. We will also organise similar Kalyanams even in Singapore in the month of August,” he added.
He said the two programmes initiated by TTD, Subhapradham for students of Tenth, Inter I and II years and Prahladam for pregnant women received good response as the motto of the programmes were promotion of dharmic values and ethics in the upcoming generations.
The EO said TTD will organise special programmes on the occasion of ‘Sravana Pournami’ which falls on August 2, across the state.
Later, answering a query by pilgrim caller from Guntur, Mr Subramanyam said at present the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) offices are located only at District Head Quarters in all the districts across the state. “We are contemplating to appoint district level committees which will further take up the dharmic activities to mandals and villages,” he said.
Reacting to a query of another pilgrim caller from Muskat, he said TTD from time to time has been putting efforts to streamline the darshan queue line inside sanctum sanctorum.
The EO said to avoid traffic congestion in Srinivasa Complex at Tirupati, TTD is shortly taking up the construction of sub-way works at an estimated expenditure of Rs one crore which will be completed in a span of six months.
Replying to the another pilgrim query from Khammam, the TTD EO said he will definitely initiate measures to increase ‘Dittam’ (quantity of prasadams) meant for Kapileshwara Swamy temple in Tirupati.
