Sonia Gandhi leads Congress march against Intolerance

congress-marchCongress president Sonia Gandhi , Cong vice president Rahul Gandhi led a march in Delhi against Intolerance under BJP rule , from parliament to Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Former Prime minister Manmohan singh, former union ministers, parliamentarians and leaders of Congress party carried placards in their fight against communalism , which might disrupt the country’s unity.

Congress leaders reached Rashtrapati Bhavan and submitted a memorandum on rising intolerance to President Pranab Mukherjee. In its Memorandum Cong expressed gratitude to the President for having spoken out strongly against forces of prejudices,bigotry & intolerance.

Sonia Gandhi addressed media after submitting memorandum  to President Pranab Mukherjee. She said, Congress in its memorandum to the President expressed concern over  Growing atmosphere of fear, intolerance in the country.

Rahul Gandhi said, People are being lynched and killed and the PM is silent. Finance Minister believes nothing is going on in the country. They believe in an ideology which is not tolerant, it doesn’t believe in listening others.Large numbers of people have made it very clear that they are unhappy with the way this Govt views this country. We are proud people, we like ability to say what we want & PM does not like that & that is why we have gone to President. says Rahul Gandhi.
