Six Asians, including three women, were on Friday charged with offences relating to trafficking of an Indian woman.
Police said the 37-year-old victim was brought to Britain from Hyderabad and subjected to sexual assaults.
Police identified the accused as Balram Kumar Obhrai (58), a computer entrepreneur; Shashi Kala Obhrai ( 53), an optician; Enkarta Balapovi ( 53), a butcher; Shanaz Begum ( 56), a shop worker; Shamina Yousuf ( 32), an office secretary; and Aleemuddin Mohammed (34), a supermarket manager — all from London.
The charges include human trafficking, exploitation, rape and threats to kill.
They will be produced before a court next month.
