Shuttler P V Sindhu beats World No:2 player Wang Yihan to enter the women’s singles semifinals of the Rio Olympics.
PV Sindhu parents were delighted over the victory and said their daughter kept India’s medal hopes alive by reaching the semifinals of the women’s singles event at the Rio Olympics.
Sindhu beats Yihan Wang in straight sets by 22-20, 21-19 . Sindhu is two shots at landing a medal for India.She will next compete against Nozomi Okuhara of Japan in the semifinal on Thursday.If she loses, she will play a bronze medal.
Sindhu’s father also credited coach Pullela Gopichand for the Hyderabad coaching camp.
