rp_shamanthakamani-300x244.jpgMovie: Shamanthakamani
Director: Sriram Aditya
Producer: Anand Prasad
Music Director: Mani Sharma
Starring: Sundeep Kishan, Sudheer Babu, Nara Rohit, Aadi Rating:3/5

Krishna (Sudhir Babu) is the son of a rich man, gives a huge party in Hyderabad. A car worth Rs 5 crore is lost in that party. Its name is ‘Shamanthakamani’.

Inspector Ranjith Kumar (Nara Rohit) begins the investigation to find out who has stolen the car. Three of those who came to the party are the suspects including Uma Maheswara Rao (Rajendra Prasad), Shiva (Sundeep Kishan), Karthik (Adi).

It’s the nature of these suspect is something that, they want to settle in life, Even Inspector Ranjit Kumar also thinks the same. Which of these four people have stolen the car forms the story of ‘Shamanthakamani’.

The expectations on the film are very high as the film is a multistarrer with four young heroes. The director has designed their roles accordingly. He gave equal importance to all the four heroes including Sundeep Kishan, Adi, Sudheer Babu and Nara Rohit. Even Rajendra Prasad has got equal importance. Every role has its unique style but Sudheer Babu roles have scored good marks. His role is very emotional While the roles of Sundeep Kishan and Adi was funny. Nara Rohit’s role was Key for the film. Rajendra Prasad and Indraja’s love track was funny.

Director was half successful for roping perfect artists for the characters. There is no doubt that the film is a launch pad for multi starer films in Tollywood.

Technically, Sameer Reddy’s camera work is good. The background music provided by Mani Sharma makes the audience feel involved in the story. Some scenes in the first half seem unnecessary. But their importance is felt in the second half.

The first part should have been sharper with entertainment. The director felt that only one song will fit into the film. That’s a right decision for such stories. The rest of the characters cast their scope are good. Production values are good.

The story of the begins theft of the car in a party. Who has come to that party? Their nature and behaviour were revealed in the first half. With this the pace of the film has slowed.

The story picks up the pace in the second half and the director has kept the twists for the second half. Some of the twists are above the audience expectations. The twist before climax is good. It seems like the director wrote the entire plot for this twist. And the climax was also impressive.
