The city police have clamped prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Cr P C in area around the High Court to avoid inconvenience to the litigants and advocates from May 6. The prohibitory orders will be in force upto July 4 unless otherwise it was withdrawn earlier, City Incharge police Commissioner Anurag Sharma said in a release here. The police have banned public meeting,assembly of five or more persons, dharnas and shouting of slogans in any public place within the areas. Any person violating the orders would be liable for punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code and as per the provisions of Hyderabad City Police Act, 1348 Fasli,the commissioner added. However, religious functions, rallies and public meeting in the specified areas can be held with the prior written permission from the Dy.Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Hyderabad well in advance, the release added.
