SCR to introduce new exp train

The South Central Railway (SCR) today announced that Tirupati-Mannargudi Tri-weekly Express which was announced in the Railway Budget will be inaugurated at Tirupati on July 3. The regular run of the train will commence on July 4 from Mannargudi and on July 5, from Tirupati, a Railway release said here. Accordingly, Train No 17408 Mannargudi-Tirupati Tri-weekly Express will depart Mannargudi at 0530 hours on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and arrive Tirupati at 1635 hours on the same day. In the return direction, Train No 17407 Tirupati-Mannargudi tri-weekly express will depart Tirupati at 1040 hours on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and arrive Mannargudi at 2235 hours on the same day. En route, these trains will stop at Pakala, Chittoor, Katpadi, Vellore Cant, Arni Raod, Tiruvannamalai, Tirukkovilur, Villupuram, Cuddalore Port, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladudurai, Perlam, Thiruvaur and Nidamangalam. The release also said Jaipur-Secunderabad-Jaipur bi-weekly Special trains was extended for two more trips to its existing timings, stoppages and days of service.
