SAP Labs India announced Leap@Lukla, an event organised by the company to express gratitude to its brilliant people managers.
Leap@Lukla is a part of SAP’s ManaGeRIGHT, an initiative aimed at transforming managers to become the best in the industry. Lukla, in Nepal, is the starting point for the Everest Base camp trek. Of the 175 managers, who attended the event held here recently, 20 were felicitated and their managerial efforts and commitment towards delivery excellence were acknowledged.
Prof T V Rao, ex-professor IIMA, XLRI and ISB, Les Hayman, global leadership guru and Cyprian D’Souza, Chief People Officer, Capgemini who addressed the gathering spoke on topics such as the future of people management, shared tips on how to be a successful people manager and steps to build a vision with the community, a company release said.
Speaking for SAP Labs India, Bhuvaneswar Naik, Vice-President, Human Resources, SAP Labs India, expressed the need to recognise managerial efforts.
‘Leap@Lukla is our way of saying thanks and appreciating our managers for displaying tremendous potential in helping SAP Labs run better. Managers in people intensive industries play a pivotal role and they need to be acknowledged for their efforts,’ he added.
