Union Minister of Road Transport, Highways & Shipping Nitin Gadkari announced Rs 8000 crore worth road projects to Telangana.
Speaking at 77th annual Session of Indian Road Congress, Gadkari announced the projects. He said, 40 percent of the total traffic is dependent on National Highways which constitute only 2 percent of total roads in India.
His governments’ priority is to reduce accidents on roads. Telangana Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao was also present in the conference.
