The Bengaluru police on Friday recovered over Rs 40 crores of demonetised currency in a raid conducted at a former corporator’s office.
Police raids office of former corporator V Nagraj in Bengaluru, recovered more than Rs. 40 crores of demonetised currency.
Police also faced resistance from Nagaraj’s family in entering the house and had to break open the main door with the help of a blacksmith .
Nagaraj is alleged to have been involved in converting black money into white by exchanging the old currency notes after demonetization.
