The Regional Passport Office (RPO) here has agreed to issue over 100 passports for Hail pilgrims following a representation from the state Haj Committee one (SHC). Consequent to the Passport Adalat held on April 4 in the RPO, the Haj Committee has collected as many as 921 affidavits from the applicants whose Police Verification Reports were not received. Of them, police verification reports for 100 cases were received and passports for these candidates would be issued on April 19 in the Passport Office. According to SHC Chairman Syed Khaleeluddin Ahmed , who met RPO Dr Srikar Reddy here, the international passports to the 100 candidates will be distributed to the persons concerned on April 19, however, for the remaining 821 candidates, the passport for one year validity to travel to Saudi Arabia only will be issued on April 23 in the Passport office.
The candidates who had submitted affidavit in the Haj Committee should only approach the Passport Office on that day after obtaining token number from the Haj Committee, he added.
