There is a old Rajmahal in Nandigama , the government has seized the Mahal as 34 people whwo enbtered the Mahal hhave died suspsiously. Maa TV launches a reality program ” Catch Devils in 7 days and win 3 Crore Prize” and selects 7 people for the show. Ashwin (Ashwin Kumar),Dr.Nandan (Chetan cinu), Dhanya Balakrishna (Bala), Eeshan (Barbie), Bujjima (vidyullekha), Maidanam (shakalaka Shankar), Shiva (Dhan Raj) enters the Raj Mahal. They face strange experiences from the day one. All gets a strong feeling that Ghost exists in the Mahal, during the time Ashwin will explore a secret of the mahal. What is that secret? Will there be ghost in the Mahal? or else Who is killing the people entered into the Mahal? …forms the story.
The performances of the lead character are good, Rajeev Kanakala and Pratima roles have given sentimental touch . The Art director Shahi Suresh should be given credit for the set. Cinematographer has given his best to create horror with closeup shots and was bale to create fear in tilted camera angles. Sai Karthik’s BGM has helped the film especially the girls voice ” La LaLa LaLa”.
Director Omkar, A specialist in reality shows, played wisely and used his brain to drag audience to the thereasters by showcasing the Raju Gari Gadhi as Ghost film. In reality there will be nothing such in the Mahal other than illegal activities. With pre release hype and Publicity , Audience will definitely feel the horror element and also comedy in the first half. Especially Jabardasth team , Maidanam (shakalaka Shankar), Shiva (Dhan Raj) have entertained , Apart suspense element in the first half was superb.
In the second half Saptagiri comes for 4 minutes in Race Gurram Babji role to comicize the audience. The tempo of the suspense element in the first, is not maintained in the second half which is a big minus for the film. Even the Ghost episode was shown in a comic way. Omkar has created audience by hyping that some things exists in Raju Gari Gadhi (room) .
As usual, first half is quite entertaining and second half goes in a routine & boring format . The director has failed to connect the second half suspense element to the audience . Audience can guess the nly one twist in the second half without much thinking. However Omkar has succeeded in entertaining audience to some extent, he should have tried little more better.
Nothing in the Room (Gadhi)
