Tollywood ace director SS Rajamouli gave a clarification from his side over the copyright claim of is previous blockbuster film Magadheera starring Ram Charan.
Earlier, Producer Allu Arvind has filed an injunction in the City Civil Court in Hyderabad seeking a ban on the release of Raabta. The filmmaker contends that the upcoming Sushant Singh Rajput-Kriti Sanon- starrer is a copy of his 2009 Ram Charan-starrer Magadheera.
On the other side, Raabta makers deny plagiarism allegations: Raabta is an original film, not a copy of Magadheera.
Talking about the Magadhhera copyright controversy, Rajamouli in ‘Open Heart with RK’ program on ABN channel said, He and his family are nowhere concerned with the copyright of the film. His father already gave the complete copyright of the film to Geetha Arts production house. He said one cannot claim copyright idea.
He explained Something falls under copyrights if the application and execution are same that of the original. If every scene goes in the same pattern as that of the original film story then it comes under copyright. However, it’s up to Geetha Arts.
