Raja Singh lands in another controversy

He said, Hindus are not safe in the West Bengal state and appealed to the Hindu community in the state to respond the way Hindus in Gujarat reacted in 2002. He said, if Hindus do not respond, Bengal will turn into Bangladesh. He also blamed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Government for ongoing tensions.

Violent clashes erupted in Basirhat area of the district after a Class X student updated a controversial picture on Facebook. It all started after a Class 10 student posted a derogatory meme on Prophet Mohammad and Islamic holy site Kaaba. A violent Muslim mob put up road blockades at several places and attacked members of the Hindu community, besides destroying many shops.
