Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi visited Andhra Pradesh on Sunday and addressed a public meeting in Guntur, has made some serious remarks on AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu and the opposition leader Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He said, Congress always wanted to make AP a strong state in the country and the Special Status would greatly benefit the state Andhra Pradesh. AP will get 90% grants if SCS is given and it gives more money to the state. But seems like TDP and YSRCP are not interesting in money that benefits the state’s development. But why TDP and YSRCP are not fighting for the SCS? questioned Rahul.
He alleged Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and YSR Congress Party leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy had compromised with the Centre over the issue under pressure from Modi.
Rahul Gandhi said that Special Status has been committed by the Prime Minister of India and its Office. Special Status is not a gift to be given to Andhra Pradesh but it is the rights of AP people
