Actor Rahman, who was once Mollywood’s ultimate onscreen lover boy, is now on his second outing. But that does not mean he is playing the young lover again. The fact that he has been opting to play characters close to his age has got him a couple of interesting offers from the Telugu film industry too.
“We started the shoot of the Telugu movie just a couple of days ago in Hyderabad. It is the lead role. I play a mayor. Aksha plays my co-star,” says the actor, who has been a part of Telugu films likeBharath Bandh and Samaran.
Closer home, Rahman says, “Anjali Menon’s Manjadikuru is a realistic movie and the character that I play has shades of grey.” There is also Amal Neerad’s Bachelor Party. “Both are serious attempts at a different kind of filmmaking with an ensemble cast,” he says.
