PV Sindhu takes charge as Deputy collector

pvsindhuPV Sindhu who scripted history last year by becoming the first Indian woman athlete ever to win silver at the Olympics, takes charge as Deputy collector in the Andhra Pradesh government.

On July 27, This Ace shuttler and Rio Olympics silver medallist P.V. Sindhu was appointed deputy collector, a Group-1 service post, and she took charge as the deputy collector . Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu personally handed over the appointment letter to Sindhu.

Today, Sindhu joined the duty in the office of Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) at Gollapudi on the outskirts of Vijayawada and reported to Special Chief Secretary Anil Chandra Punetha. Sindhu would be allotted the district for posting as the deputy collector.
