The bandh call given by YSR Congress Party protesting over the power crisis evoked poor response in the state on Friday.
Barring a few sporadic incidents in the city suburbs, no untoward incidents were reported.Except the closure of some commercial establishments in the morning, normal life was not affected.Party activists who were enforcing bandh were taken into preventive custody in different parts of the state.
Most of the schools, including private, functioned as usual while RTC bus services and commercial establishments also functioned. Banks and government offices also functioned to full strength. Unidentified persons hurled stones on five buses at Vijayawada where Kodali Nani who joined YSRC resigning TDP took a active role was attested later, In Vizag, Nalagonda,Nizamabad bandh got poor response. In Hyderabd bandh was very poor no support from public at all but, Kadapa bandh got some good response as Jagan relatives took part in bandh . Even police which had made elaborate arrangements relaxed by afternoon.
Overall, With no cadre support, YSRC party leaders inactive participation and main leader in jail, This bandh is just a mere call from the party to stay in headlines .
