PCC decides to take stern action on rebel leaders

The Congress Party today took a decision to take stern action against the leaders making statement against Chief Minister N.Kiran Kumar Reddy, other leaders and the party. Talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan here , PCC Disciplinary Committee Chairman K Satyanarayana Raju said the action against such leaders would be discussed at the Committee’s meeting to be held here tomorrow. After holding preliminary discussions, he said the committee will issue showcause notice to the leaders who expressed their views against either government or leaders in the party publicly, after consulting the Chief Minister. A complaint was received from Party Spokesperson K.Mrutyanjam against Former Minister T Jeevan Reddy who allegedly made anti-government statements, he said adding the issue would also be discussed during the meeting. When asked about the party’s action against Former Ministers Dr P Shankar Rao and DL Ravinder Reddy who openly criticised the Chief Minister, Mr Raju asked the media to ‘wait and watch’ till the Disciplinary Committee Meeting was over.
